Corn chips are crunchy snacks made mainly from corn: ground corn or corn flour is formed into small shapes and fried or baked. Unlike tortilla chips, which are cut from a flat corn dough, the snacks in this category come in shapes such as small balls and pie-like crisps. It is a subcategory of chips.
Everything here is made in Thailand. Carada Rice Balls from Greenland Marketing are crisp puffs of rice and corn, seasoned with flavours such as nori seaweed and cuttlefish. Party Crispy Pie from Berli Jucker Foods is a fried corn snack in corn cheese or butter caramel flavour, sweet rather than salty.
Corn is gluten-free on its own, but seasonings can add wheat, milk or seafood; the cuttlefish flavour contains squid, a mollusc.
