UHA Mikakuto is a Japanese confectionery company headquartered in Osaka. It is best known for candy and gummies, including Puccho chewy candy, Tokuno Milk 8.2 milk candy, Shigekix and Ninja Meshi hard gummies and Cororo, and it also makes Osatsu Doki sweet potato snacks and a line of supplement gummies.
Cororo is UHA Mikakuto’s take on a gummy that eats like fresh fruit: a juicy, soft gummy wrapped in a thin, firm skin made with collagen, so each piece pops when bitten, a little like a grape. SeekSnack has reviewed Cororo Grape Jelly, a Kyoho grape flavour made with grape and apple juice concentrates.
The skin is made with collagen, an animal protein, so Cororo is not vegetarian. Other Cororo flavours include strawberry, peach, Shine Muscat grape and cola.
