The Royal Chitralada Projects are a group of royal development projects set up in the grounds of Chitralada Palace in Bangkok. They include working factories that process farm produce into food, among them a milk powder factory and a milk tablet factory, and the products are sold to the public.
Milk tablets began as a way to use milk powder that was not suitable for packing as ordinary powdered milk. After trials in 1978, regular production started in late 1984. The tablets are pressed from milk powder with sugar into small, firm discs that dissolve slowly in the mouth, a long-standing Thai children’s treat. SeekSnack has reviewed the Royal Chitralada Milk Tablet Sweet Flavor, made from milk powder and icing sugar.
As a milk-powder product, the tablets contain milk.
