Sunsusolution Company Limited is the Thai company behind Sunsu, a brand of konjac jelly snacks, based in Bang Phli district, Samut Prakan. The brand was launched in 2020 by two well-known Thai YouTubers and grew quickly through convenience stores. Sunsu jellies come in fruit flavours such as green apple, yuzu orange, strawberry, grape, lychee and peach, and the company has since added Muek Groob, a chewy konjac snack with a spicy mala seasoning.
Konjac is a root whose flour forms a firm, springy gel, and carrageenan is a gelling agent made from red seaweed. SeekSnack has reviewed two Sunsu jelly packs, including Jelly Carrageenan Mixed Konyakku, Apple flavour, Orange flavour, small cups of chewy jelly made from sugar, carrageenan and konjac powder.
Neither konjac nor carrageenan comes from animals, so these jellies contain no gelatin. Their firm, chewy texture is typical of konjac jelly.
