McDonald’s Corporation is the American company behind the McDonald’s chain of fast-food restaurants, one of the largest restaurant brands in the world. Most of its restaurants are run by local franchisees and licensees, which is why menus differ from country to country and limited-time items come and go.
SeekSnack has reviewed two such items under the McDonald’s name, both from a Minions (Despicable Me) promotion at McDonald’s Thailand that ran from June to September 2020. McDonald’s Minion Potatoes were potato pieces shaped like Minions, soft inside like mashed potato rather than crisp. The McDonald’s Chocky Banana Pie had a crisp crust around a warm filling of dark chocolate and mashed banana.
Pies like this have a wheat-flour crust, and chocolate fillings commonly contain milk. Both items were limited-time offers, so they are no longer on the menu.
