Violet is one of the wafer brands of KCG Corporation Co., Ltd, a Thai food company established in 1958 and listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 2023. KCG is best known for Allowrie butter and cheese and Imperial biscuits, and it also sells wafers under several names, among them Imperial, Rosy and Violet.
SeekSnack has reviewed the Violet Orange Flavoured Wafer: rectangular, crunchy wafers layered with an orange-flavoured cream that smells clearly of orange. Other Violet flavours include strawberry, milk, coconut and chocolate.
The wafers are made with wheat flour, shortening and soybean oil, so they contain gluten. The orange colour comes from INS 110 (Sunset Yellow), an azo colour that carries a warning label in the EU.
