Tom’s Farm is a brand of flavoured almonds from Gilim Co., Ltd, a South Korean nut company with more than 40 years of history. Today Gilim sells its nut snacks mainly under the HBAF name, short for “Healthy But Awesome Flavors”, which it describes as Korea’s largest nut brand.
The Tom’s Farm snack reviewed on SeekSnack is Honey Butter Almond: whole almonds in a sweet, buttery honey coating. Almonds make up nearly three quarters of the weight, with syrup, sugar and honey butter seasoning making up most of the rest. Gilim also makes the same coating on other nuts, such as macadamias and mixed nuts.
Almonds are tree nuts, a major allergen. The coating includes aspartame, a sweetener that is a source of phenylalanine, which matters to people with phenylketonuria (PKU). Check the pack for milk in the seasoning.
