Today is the bakery brand of ELVAN FOOD IND. CO., a Turkish confectionery group that grew from a small candy shop opened in Istanbul in 1952 and also sells sweets under the Elvan and Cici names. Under the Today name it makes individually wrapped croissants and snack cakes, which are exported beyond Turkey.
SeekSnack has reviewed the Today Snowball Cake with Milk Cream, a soft sponge coated in white cream and filled with milk cream, and a Today croissant filled with chocolate-hazelnut and vanilla creams. The croissant is soft, though fairly light on filling.
Both contain wheat flour, egg and milk ingredients such as whey, and the croissant also contains hazelnuts, a tree nut.
