Greenday is a Thai snack brand from Greenday Global Co., Ltd. in Samut Prakan, known for crisp fruit and vegetable chips made by vacuum frying or freeze drying. Vacuum frying cooks the slices at a lower temperature than ordinary frying, which keeps more of their natural colour. The name was chosen to sound like the Thai phrase for “eat well”. In 2022 the Japanese snack maker Calbee agreed to buy a majority stake in Greenday’s holding company, and Greenday now describes itself as part of Calbee.
