Denma is a brand of filled cookies made in Thailand by UNICHAMP CO.,LTD., a company set up in 1989 as part of Useful Food Co., Ltd. Denma cookies were launched in 1990, first with peanut butter and fruit fillings; today the fillings are strawberry, prune and apricot.
SeekSnack has reviewed the Denma filled cookie with fruits: a buttery shortbread-style cookie wrapped around a soft, jammy centre. The strawberry version is sweet and fruity; the prune and apricot ones are a little tarter.
The cookies contain wheat flour, butter and egg. The ingredient list also includes preservatives such as INS 223 (sodium metabisulphite), a sulphite, which matters for people sensitive to sulphites.
