Collon is a short biscuit roll: a thin, crisp tube of baked biscuit filled with sweet cream. The Japanese confectioner Glico created the original Cream Collon in 1970, and in Thailand the brand is made and sold by Thai Glico Co., Ltd., the company behind Thai Pocky and Pretz.
Thai Glico’s regular Collon flavours are cream, chocolate and strawberry. SeekSnack has reviewed Collon Cream, the strawberry version and a matcha green tea Collon, which is not part of the current Thai range.
The rolls are small enough to eat in one or two bites, which makes them a common lunchbox and sharing snack. The biscuit is made with wheat flour, and cream fillings of this kind normally contain milk, so check the pack if you avoid gluten or dairy.
