Bento is a seafood snack brand from Srinanaporn Marketing Public Company Limited (listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand as SNNP), shown on SeekSnack as Srinanaporn. Under the Bento name the company sells baked squid, squid strips and fish strips, usually in bold, spicy Thai seasonings.
The Bento snack reviewed on SeekSnack is the Sweet & Spicy Squid Seafood Snack in the red pack: thin, chewy sheets of seasoned squid mixed with surimi (a paste made from fish). Other packs in the range include Thai chili paste, super spicy and spicy larb flavours, each with its own colour.
Because it is made from squid and fish, Bento contains molluscs and fish, two common allergens. Spicy flavours can be quite hot.
