Arnott’s is one of Australia’s best-known biscuit makers. William Arnott, a Scottish immigrant baker, opened his bakery in Newcastle, New South Wales, in 1865, and the parrot logo still on the packs dates from 1888. The company was owned by Campbell Soup for many years and was sold to the investment firm KKR in 2019. SeekSnack lists it as Arnott’s Biscuit Limited.
In Thailand the Arnott’s name is best known on Good Time, a range of crunchy chocolate chip cookies that began as an Indonesian brand in 1986, joined Arnott’s in 1995 and is still made in Indonesia. SeekSnack has reviewed the Classic Chocochips and the darker Double Choc, a cocoa cookie with chocolate chips.
Both cookies are made with wheat flour, and the chocolate chips and milk powder mean they also contain dairy.
